Commercial Lead - Pet Food
Are you a proven senior commercial operator with Pet Food experience and a track record of winning in Own Label?
I’m partnering with a highly successful food manufacturer who is making a significant investment in the Pet Food market and they’re looking for a commercial lead to spearhead growth across the UK Grocery & Discounter channels. This is a truly amazing opportunity to build, shape, and lead strategy rather than inherit it.
The role:
As the commercial lead, you will be the driving force behind the Pet Food launch strategy, developing and executing the UK commercial plan across grocery, discounters, and other key channels. You’ll lead Own Label customer relationships, winning new partnerships through compelling pitches while acting as the entrepreneurial voice of Pet Food within the business — helping to shape innovation, pricing, and go-to-market strategies. Working closely with NPD, supply chain, and senior leadership, you’ll collaborate to build a truly category-winning proposition.
You:
• Proven experience in the Pet Food sector, ideally with Own Label products.
• Currently operating at Senior NAM level or equivalent.
• A growth mindset and someone who thrives in build-from-scratch environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK grocery & discounter retail landscapes.
• Flexibility to spend 2–3 days per week at the Hertfordshire office (fully expensed from home)
